Stop the Exercise Insanity!

There is a dangerous phenomenon occurring when it comes to exercise.  We know statistically that the majority of the population does not get regular physical activity but juxtaposed to that is the belief that high intensity exercise is the 'answer' to our health issues.  Accelerating from 0-60 mph as fast as possible might be a great thing in a car but with the human body it's a perfect recipe for injury.  We need to stop the insanity and get people on the appropriate level of workouts. Remember, exercise is meant to build the body up NOT tear it apart.  My new wellness group just completed their fitness retest and everyone improved without any injuries.  

We will soon begin having orientations about how to get involved in the new Wellness Program.  While I'm excited about the prospects the best part is the reviews from the women who are currently in the program.  Everyone has tried to many diets and programs to count but as one said today in our meeting, 'this is totally different than anything I've ever done before, but I'm learning everyday and have more confidence then I've ever thought possible that I can do this!'
